ThL W9 5.7-inch 1080p 1.5GHz Quad-Core Smart Phone Review

ThL W9 is of luxurious equipment, which is allocated with 5.7-inch 1080p HD IPS full-angle ultra-large screen, MT6589T quad-core processor with 1.5GHz main frequency, 1GB RAM+16GB ROM or 2GB RAM+32GB ROM(two versions). As to the cameras, it’s composed of 800W pixel display front-facing camera and 1300W pixel display rear camera.

Then what about its actual application performance? We shall review it.
Previously ThL ever launched THL W7, which is also equipped with a 5.7-inch ultra-large smart phone, and it’s quite alike to what we review today in appearance. But in terms of the hardware collocations, W9 obviously makes great progress. Moreover, its workmanship is elevated as well.

ThL W9 is equipped with a 5.7-inch capacitive touch IPS screen, the visible angle reaches 178 degree and the touch effect is quite sensitive. The resolution is the high-end mainstream 1080p screen, whose display effect is quite clear and vivid.

A 800W pixel display front-facing camera is designed above the screen, which can bring the excellent effect both in talking pictures and video chatting. Next to the camera is the light sensor and it will automatically regulate the light of screen in accordance with the varying situation in order to ensure the best display luminance. A signal light is designed on the right point, which will give some signals when it’s charged or called by virtue of the lighted lamp.

Three system keys are installed, which are setting key, Home key and return key from left to right. The Home key is the entity key. The phone is surrounded with oblong metal stripe decorations in round corners, which develops the whole texture. The other two keys are virtual keys, which will be lighted automatically when the screen is turned on. That’s good-looking and practical.
Though the back core of ThL W9 is plastic, the pure white color leaves us a fashionable and good-looking impression. The processed back core feels smooth and delicate and the edging design is natural in transition.

A 1300W pixel display backlight rear camera with flashlight is installed, with which the satisfactory picture can be taken even in dimness or at night. As to the cameras, the detailed review shall be presented later.

The loudspeaker is designed on the low left corner of the panel and the vivid contrast between delicate loudspeaker and large wide panel is eye-catching. The logo ThL is short for “Technology Happy Life”, which means that the technology can lead to happy life.

The power key is installed on the right side of the phone while the volume key is on the left. When held with one hand, it is at ease to operate. On the top is the 3.5mm earphone hole while the bottom is located the Micro USB interface, which is next to the calling MIC.
ThL W9 adopts the Android 4.2 OS, which is further developed. The interface is better-looking and the application is more enjoyable.

Four-dimensional unlocking means are applied. The users can pull the unlocking ring to the corresponding position and then enter the main interface, or you can directly enter interfaces of dialing, SMS or pictures shooting, which is quite convenient. Pressing the Home key for seconds, the interface of backstage task management is entered and sliding horizontally can close the corresponding backstage processing programs rapidly.

The pulling-down notification bar can be pulled down from the top with one finger, where the users can browse all the updating news. All the notifications will vanish as you press the “delete” key on the upper right corner. The shortcut setting menu shall be pulled down from the top of screen via two fingers. The corresponding setting can be closed or opened via pressing the specific key; pressing the corresponding key will enter the setting interface and can make more detailed setting for the options.

ThL W9 is preinstalled with Sina microblog, QQ, Taobao, Baidu map and so on, which saves the problem for downloading. As to the interface of widgets, dozens of regular desktop plug-ins are provided, which can beautify the desktop and is convenient for operation.
ThL W9 adopts MT6589T quad-core processor with 1.5GHz main frequency, PowerVR SGX 544MP, 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM, which is of high level. Besides, it adopts low power-dissipation A7 framework as well as most advanced 28nm technology, which behaves well in power consumption.
