TCL S950 Smart Phone Review

TCL S950 is equipped with a MT6589T quad-core processor with 1.5MHz main frequency, PowerVR SGX 544MP graphic processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM( the expansion of storage card is not supported.) It adopts a 5.0-inch IPS full-joint touch screen with 1920×1080 resolution. Moreover, it’s of both camera ( 200W pixel display front-facing camera and 1310W main camera).

As to the appearance, the total thickness is 6.99mm. The camera is slightly convex. The whole weight is of 120g and the edging is of 1.75mm, which is quite light and exquisite.

　TCL S950 is prone to be of business style, but it never lacks fashionable elements. The frontage is in black while the back core varies from red, blue to yellow. The reviewed one is in red.

The whole design is square and the cornea is with mellow and round process. Since the comprehensive size is in balance, the 5.0-inch screen is convenient to be coped with one hand.


On the upper side of the frontage are the proximity sensor and receiver in concave shape. Moreover, the 200W pixel display front-facing camera is also collocated.

On the low side of the screen are three touch keys. In the middle is the Home key, the left one is return key and the right one is menu key. By pressing the Home key for seconds can we enter TCL audio aide interface while the backstage program can be shown via pressing the menu key for seconds.

On the top is there a power physical key and 3.5mm earphone hole while on the bottom are designed a microphone and Micro-USB interface.

On the left side of S950 is there a SIM1 card slot while the volume key and SIM2 card slot are on the right. Both adopt the Micro-SIM card. It’s a pity that no TF card slot is designed, but it maintains the good touch feeling.

TCL S950 is allocated with a 1310W stacked camera with LED flashlight. The camera is a little convex but not quite obvious. It is surrounded with a circuit of metal decoration, which keeps from being scratched and looks quite elegant.

As it adopts the design that can’t be detached, the body seems compact and tight. In one word, no large shortcoming can be observed. In fact, its own mature workmanship is the masterpiece among the domestic phones.
