Lenovo A850 5.5inch Quad-Core Phone Review

Lenovo A850 is a touch bar phone, which is of 5.5-inch large touch screen. The appearance is quite eye-catching and also brings users extremely wide visual range. Besides, Lenovo A850 is also collocated with a powerful quad-core processor. The selling price ofLenovo A850 is only 212 bucks, which is quite attractive compared with those of famous brands.
　Lenovo A850 adopts the mainstream bar touch screen design. The lines of the phone are mellow and round. Two color are accessible: white and grey. What’s worth mentioning is that the size is of 153.5×79.3mm in length and width, which may be well be operated with both hands or it will be quite awkward.

In the frontage of Lenovo A850, the 5.5-inch ultra-large touch screen is the same with the Lenovo ultimate K900 version. However, due to the different positioning, as only a medium-level product selling only for 212 bucks, the resolution of Lenovo A850 is only of qHD degree(540x960p), which obviously lags behind the high-end phones.

What needs explanation is that Lenovo A850 adopts IPS screen, which has wide visual angle, vivid color reduction. Moreover, no serious deviation or distortion in color or hue can be observed in any angle. In the meantime, as the size is of 5.5-inch, it’s convenient to browse pictures and implement the touch operations.

Like other Lenovo smart phones, three Android touch keys are provided below the screen, which are the menu key, Home key and return key from left to right. Meanwhile, on the upper side a 30W pixel display front-facing camera is installed. Though it sells for only 212 bucks, the elementary collocations are kept somehow.

　The thickness of Lenovo A850 is of 9.45mm, which is quite thin and light. In the meantime, the surrounding is wrapped up with a circle of silver white decoration stripe, which makes the vivid contrast with the bottom part. As to the surrounding keys and interfaces, it is alike to other Android smart phones.

On the left side no key or interface is installed while the right is with integral volume key. The power key is on the top and nearby exists the 3.5mm earphone hole, which provides convenience for other earphones.

Besides the 3.5mm earphone hole, the MicroUSB data interface is also equipped on the bottom of the phone, which is convenient for charging and data transmission.

In terms of design of individual key, Lenovo A850 is nice. However, as it is of a large body, it is awkward to operate with one hand. It’s hoped that some optimization can be made in the arrangement of the keys.
Similar to the surrounding design of Lenovo A850, the design of back core is also quite round and mellow and the processing of rounded corners are adopted and then the back side and the flank can joint in quite a natural way, which contributes to the comfortable feeling of holding the phone even for a long time.

As a large-screen phone selling at 212 bucks, Lenovo A850 is collocated with dual cameras(30W pixel display front-facing camera and 500W rear camera with LED flashlight). The style of the camera is simple and concise, which is slightly convex. As to the imaging effect, we can turn to the sample pictures.

Moreover, on the left low side a loudspeaker outlet is designed, which supports the high-end output effect. On the whole, the appearance design of Lenovo A850 is quite simple, mellow, but it seems quite dominant for the 5.5-inch phone.
